Ty Forney collected three hits as the Eau Claire Express (6-7) took home a 7-3 victory over the Battle Creek Bombers (6-7) at C.O. Brown Stadium on Monday.

Andrew Hedrick racked up eight strikeouts in the the Eau Claire Express win. The Eau Claire Express' pitcher gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.

Despite the loss, the Battle Creek Bombers' Kenton San Miguel dominated the Eau Claire Express' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Tom Albert got on base four times in the game for the Battle Creek Bombers. He singled in the second inning.

Joe Battistelli was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
