The Gary SouthShore RailCats and the New Jersey Jackals (33-25) volleyed the lead four times on Thursday, but the Gary SouthShore RailCats came out on top for a 8-3 win on Thursday at Yogi Berra Stadium.

Mike Massaro racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Will Krout picked up the win for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. Krout allowed one earned run, nine hits and no walks while striking out six over 7 2/3 innings of work.

Bryan Sabatella racked up two RBIs on two hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Kyle Greenwalt (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
