Offenses dominate as the Rockland Boulders outscore the Quebec Capitales 12-10

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Rockland Boulders (22-25) outscored the Quebec Capitales (33-15) 12-10.

The two teams combined for 28 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to eight lead changes in the game.

Matt Nandin put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Rockland Boulders. He doubled in the third and seventh innings and singled in the eighth inning.

MacKenzie King shut down the Quebec Capitales while he was on the mound. The Quebec Capitales managed just one hit off of King, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Garrett Johnson improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockland Boulders. Johnson struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Guillaume Duguay (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The Rockland Boulders' Phillip Cuadrado, Ryan Mollica, Nandin and Cole Kraft combined for 10 hits and eight RBIs.
