The Sioux City Explorers (36-46) beat the Rockland Boulders 10-7 on Tuesday at Lewis _ Clark Park behind Brandon Newton, who had three RBIs.
He doubled in the second inning.Gabby Martinez racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Rockland Boulders. He homered in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the ninth inning.
Even though Richard Salazar allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his sixth of the season. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.
Pat Moran couldn't get it done on the bump for the Rockland Boulders, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked five and struck out seven.
