The Winnipeg Goldeyes (27-20) and the Sioux Falls Pheasants (25-22) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Winnipeg Goldeyes capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-1 win at Shaw Park.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes staved off the Sioux Falls Pheasants as the Sioux Falls Pheasants were unable to match the Winnipeg Goldeyes down the stretch.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants scored one run in the seventh on an RBI single by Jonny Kaplan. Unfortunately, the Sioux Falls Pheasants weren't able to take the lead back.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes were led by Josh Mazzola's hitting. Mazzola went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Todd Privett got the win for the Winnipeg Goldeyes thanks to six strikeouts. Privett allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Mitchell Clegg couldn't get it done on the hill for the Sioux Falls Pheasants, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
