Myrow gives the Grand Prairie AirHogs late push to beat the Wichita Wingnuts, 5-4

Brian Myrow drove in the winning run to give the Grand Prairie AirHogs (32-13) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs hung on to beat the Wichita Wingnuts (31-13) 5-4 on Tuesday.

With the score tied at one, Myrow came to the plate and homered, bringing home Bryan Frichter.

Myrow racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs staved off the Wichita Wingnuts as the Wichita Wingnuts were unable to match the Grand Prairie AirHogs down the stretch.

The Wichita Wingnuts scored three runs in the eighth on a two-run double by David Peralta and a sacrifice fly by Jared McDonald. Still, the Wichita Wingnuts couldn't draw even.

David Thomas racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Derrick Miramontes got the win, running his season record to 4-1. He allowed one run over one inning. Miramontes struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

Derek Blacksher ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
