Mitchell Clegg kept the Gary SouthShore RailCats (16-27) off the board during his six innings of work and the Sioux Falls Pheasants (24-18) beat the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 5-0.

Clegg allowed three hits, five walks and struck out three.

Mark Shorey had a hot bat for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Shorey went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Stephen Hiscock (1-4) took the loss for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
