The Laredo Lemurs take out the Amarillo Sox with help from Allen, 10-5

The Laredo Lemurs (17-20) beat the Amarillo Sox (20-18) 10-5 on Tuesday at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad behind John Allen, who went 2-4 and hit a home run.

He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

The Amarillo Sox's lineup had no answer for Chaz Roe. The Amarillo Sox managed just one hit off of Roe, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Tim Alberts racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Amarillo Sox. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Matt Lackie shut down the Laredo Lemurs while he was on the mound. Lackie gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Bradley Blanks got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Blanks struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Jack Spradlin was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Laredo Lemurs hammered the Amarillo Sox pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 13 hits, seven RBIs and eight runs scored.
