Sergio Pedroza drove in the winning run to give the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (16-19) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks hung on to beat the Winnipeg Goldeyes (21-14) 3-1 on Saturday.
Nic Jackson reached on an error to start the eighth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base. Finally, Pedroza came to the plate with the score tied at one, and singled, bringing home Jackson.Paul Burnside picked up the win for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Burnside pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out five.
Despite the loss, the Winnipeg Goldeyes' Andrew Walker dominated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks' batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.
Walker (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher.
