Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Grand Prairie, 8-2

The Grand Prairie (15-10) beat the Laredo 8-2 on Tuesday at QuikTrip Park after a six-run explosion in the fourth inning.

Brian Myrow had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Lance Day picked up the win for the Grand Prairie. Day allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the Laredo (10-15)'s Palmer Karr Jr. Karr Jr. went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Mark Haynes ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out 10.

The Grand Prairie were sparked by David Thomas and Myrow, who teamed up for six hits and five RBIs.
