The Wichita come from behind to beat the Kansas City, 6-5

Things looked bleak for the Wichita (17-5) when they trailed by two runs in the eighth inning, but the Wichita recovered thanks to a key three-run home run in the ninth inning from Taylor Freeman to pull out a 6-5 win over the Kansas City (10-12) at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

With the Wichita trailing by one in the ninth inning, Freeman came to the plate and homered, bringing home Mitch Einertson and David Peralta.

Freeman racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Wichita. He homered in the ninth inning.

Juan M. Richardson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wichita. He singled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Jared Simon got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Simon struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Jacob Wiley (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
