The Wichita 's Einertson comes through in the clutch, upends the Gary SouthShore , 3-1

Mitch Einertson brought home the go-ahead run to give the Wichita (5-3) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Wichita hung on to beat the Gary SouthShore (4-4) 3-1 on Friday.

Ryan Khoury to start the eighth. He then went from first to third on a double by Jake Kahaulelio. Finally, Einertson came to the plate with the Wichita trailing by one in the eighth inning, and reached on an error, plating Khoury and Kahaulelio.

Josh Lowey picked up the win for the Wichita . Lowey pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out five.

Chad Rhoades ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The fifth inning saw the Gary SouthShore score their only run on the day when Chris Carrara was hit by a pitch.

The game's last lead went to the Wichita thanks to a eighth inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on a two-run error and an RBI single by CJ Ziegler.
