An exceptional effort by Cat Osterman spurred the USSSA Pride (23-12) to a 12-0 win over the Akron Racers (14-22) on Thursday at Firestone Stadium.
Osterman struck out 10, paving the way for a the USSSA Pride win. The USSSA Pride's pitcher gave up just two hits over seven shutout innings.
Megan Willis rocked the Akron Racers with two home runs. Willis went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Willis homered in the fifth and sixth innings.
Six runs in the first three innings helped the USSSA Pride blow out the Akron Racers. An RBI double by Kelly Kretschman during the first inning and an RBI single by Natasha Watley in the second inning fueled the USSSA Pride's offense early.
