The Long Island Ducks defeat the York Revolution after late game single, 5-4

Story by Narrative Science.

The Long Island Ducks (49-47) and the York Revolution (49-48) passed the lead back and forth five times on Friday at Bethpage Ballpark, but in the end the Long Island Ducks pulled out a 5-4 win over the York Revolution.

Ray Navarrete had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and eighth innings.

The York Revolution had no answer for Chris Flinn, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Flinn held the York Revolution hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Jeremy Hill recorded his fourth win of the year for the Long Island Ducks. Hill struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

R.J. Rodriguez couldn't get it done on the mound for the York Revolution, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The Long Island Ducks were sparked by Kraig Binick and Navarrete, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
