Chris Hayes kept the Sugar Land Skeeters (43-52) off the board during his eight innings of work and the Long Island Ducks (47-46) beat the Sugar Land Skeeters, 6-0.

Hayes allowed six hits, no walks and struck out one.

The Long Island Ducks blew out the Sugar Land Skeeters thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The Long Island Ducks scored two runs in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Dan Lyons and a sacrifice fly by Bryant Nelson.

Joash Brodin got on base three times in the game for the Long Island Ducks. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

Michael Nix ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his ninth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
