The Bridgeport Bluefish (35-43) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Lancaster Barnstormers (50-27) on Friday, as the Bridgeport Bluefish fell 3-2 at Clipper Magazine after falling behind by three runs in the third inning.

The Bridgeport Bluefish scored on a solo home run by Shea Hillenbrand in the fifth inning and a solo home run by Brock Peterson in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the Bridgeport Bluefish couldn't get over the hump.

The Lancaster Barnstormers were led by a flawless day at the dish by Bridger Hunt, who went 3-3 against the Bridgeport Bluefish's pitching. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

The Lancaster Barnstormers relied on Dwayne Pollok to eat up innings en route to the win. Pollok pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out five.

Raymar Diaz couldn't get it done on the mound for the Bridgeport Bluefish, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
