Jaime Pedroza brought home the winning run to give the Lancaster Barnstormers (26-17) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Lancaster Barnstormers hung on to beat the Bridgeport Bluefish (19-24) 3-1 on Sunday.
After Blake Gailen doubled, Pedroza came to the plate with zero outs in the eighth and singled, scoring Gailen.Pedroza did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lancaster Barnstormers, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the eighth inning.
Kennard Jones got on base four times in the game for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
Jeff Bennett got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Rommie Lewis was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
