The Medicine Hat Mavericks (26-12) pounded the Melville Millionaires (20-18) on Thursday 12-4 at Pirie Field.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks scored five runs in the fifth on a hit by pitch, a double by Ben Schubert, a single by CJ DeDeaux, a sacrifice fly by Mitch Frey, and a triple by Bryan Arthur.

Arthur racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Colton Rudd got the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks thanks to 13 strikeouts. Rudd allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.

Sheldon O Dell couldn't get it done on the mound for the Melville Millionaires, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked five and struck out five.
