Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Schaumburg Boomers (29-17) outscored the Washington Wild Things (16-29) 9-8 in 12 innings.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

Karexon Sanchez helped the Schaumburg Boomers pull ahead for the duration in the twelfth inning. Nick Kuroczko to start the twelfth. He then went from first to second on a single by Mike Valadez. Finally, Sanchez came to the plate with the score tied at eight in the twelfth inning, and was hit by a pitch, scoring Kuroczko.

Jason Braun recorded his fourth win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Nick Cicio (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.

Valadez, Frank Pfister, Sean Mahley and Nate Baumann helped lead the Schaumburg Boomers. They combined for 10 hits and six RBIs.
