He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.Alvaro Ramirez was solid at the plate for the Southern Illinois Miners. Ramirez went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and homered in the eighth inning.
Brandon Sinnery improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the London Rippers. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Sinnery struck out three, walked three and gave up six hits.
Shawn Gilblair ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out two.
