A magnificent effort by Bob Glover carried the Windy City ThunderBolts (42-30) to an 8-5 win over the Florence Freedom (40-33) on Tuesday at Home of the Florence Freedom.
Glover blasted two home runs for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Glover went 3-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Glover homered in the third and eighth innings.
The Windy City ThunderBolts came out swinging, scoring four runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Florence Freedom early.
Tyson Corley picked up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Corley allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings of work.
John Malloy led the Florence Freedom's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.
