Chamberlain gives the Evansville Otters late push to beat the Florence Freedom, 3-1

Brett Chamberlain drove in the go-ahead run to give the Evansville Otters (29-37) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Evansville Otters hung on to beat the Florence Freedom (35-31) 3-1 on Sunday.

With the game scoreless in the seventh inning Chamberlain came to the plate and homered.

Chamberlain was solid at the plate for the Evansville Otters. Chamberlain went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

The Evansville Otters held off the Florence Freedom, as the Florence Freedom were unable to overcome a three-run seventh inning deficit.

The Florence Freedom scored one run in the seventh on a solo home run by Stephen Cardullo. Unfortunately, the Florence Freedom weren't able to take the lead back.

Luis Uribe had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

The Florence Freedom had no answer for Adam Champion, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Florence Freedom managed just one hit off of Champion, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.

Andres Caceres (6-3) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.

The Evansville Otters were sparked by Uribe and Luis Parache, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
