The Evansville Otters (25-34) took home a marathon 3-2 victory over the River City Rascals (30-29) on Sunday at Bosse Field.
With the score tied at two, Greg Fontenot came to the plate and singled, bringing home Matt Sheely.
Fontenot helped the Evansville Otters pull ahead for the duration in the tenth inning.
Matt Crim brought the heat against the River City Rascals during his outing. The River City Rascals managed just two hits off of Crim, who allowed two earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his seven innings of work.
Eric Massingham recorded his third win of the year for the Evansville Otters. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Justin Gill (2-2) took the loss for the River City Rascals. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
