An excellent effort by Mike Recchia led the Windy City ThunderBolts (24-16) to a 2-0 win over the Evansville Otters (17-25) on Monday at Bosse Field.

Recchia's 16 strikeouts were enough to push the Windy City ThunderBolts past the Evansville Otters. The Windy City ThunderBolts' pitcher gave up just three hits over nine shutout innings.

Chad Cregar had a hot bat for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Cregar went 2-4. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Matt Crim (0-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
