After Frank Martinez doubled, Schwaner came to the plate with the score tied at one, and singled, bringing home Martinez.Schwaner racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Evansville Otters. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Garrett Bullock handled the Lake Erie Crushers' lineup with ease, racking up five strikeouts. Bullock allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over six innings.
A bright spot for the Lake Erie Crushers in the defeat was Trevor Longfellow, who allowed only one run while striking out seven.
Adam Champion got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Champion struck out three, walked none and gave up one hit.
Chance Gilmore ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
