Rob Perteet had two extra base hits as the Elmira Pioneers (22-10) took home a 5-1 victory over the Adirondack Trail Blazers (7-25) at Robert Smith Sports Complex on Sunday.
He doubled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.The Adirondack Trail Blazers couldn't get anything going so long as Sean Hjelle was on the hill. Hjelle gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.
Connor Donahue (0-4) took the loss for the Adirondack Trail Blazers. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
