Wednesday was a great day for Ray Hernandez, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Salina Stockade (29-35) to an 18-6 victory over the Santa Fe Fuego (18-47) at Fort Marcy Park.

Hernandez racked up nine RBIs on four hits for the Salina Stockade. He doubled in the third inning, homered in the second and sixth innings, and singled in the seventh inning.

Six runs in the opening three innings allowed the Salina Stockade to easily put away the Santa Fe Fuego. A three-run home run by Hernandez in the second inning fueled the Salina Stockade's offense early.

The Salina Stockade got the win thanks in large part to Dalton Bernardi's dominant, 13-strikeout performance. Bernardi allowed four earned runs, seven hits and three walks over 7 2/3 innings.

Jimmy Daley couldn't get it done on the hill for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.
