A six-run explosion in the first inning led the Alpine Cowboys (27-29) to a 10-2 win over the Salina Stockade (27-30) at Kokernot Field on Tuesday.

The Alpine Cowboys scored in the first on an error, an RBI single by Matt Henriksen, an RBI single by Nate Ferrell, a two-run single by Crisford Adames, and an RBI single by Reagan Rutledge.

Adames racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alpine Cowboys.

The Alpine Cowboys relied on Ely Gallego to eat up innings en route to the win. Gallego pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, nine hits and no walks while striking out five.
