A superb effort by Bobby Webb spurred the Roswell Invaders (43-23) to a 15-10 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (18-47) on Wednesday at Fort Marcy Park.
Webb racked up eight RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders. He homered in the first, third, and seventh innings.
The two teams combined for 25 runs and 34 hits, including zero extra base hits. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were 11 pitchers used in the game.
The Roswell Invaders scored five runs in the first inning to build an early lead. The Roswell Invaders scored in the first on a sacrifice fly by Joey Miller, an RBI single by Cody Coffman, and a three-run home run by Webb.
TJ Pruneda improved to 5-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed three runs over five innings. Pruneda struck out five, walked one and gave up nine hits.
Harol Rosario (0-2) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
