The Trinidad Triggers (18-9) and the Alpine Cowboys (12-12) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Trinidad Triggers that eventually took advantage of them in a 9-6 win at Central Park.
Brian Frazier blasted two home runs for the Trinidad Triggers. Frazier went 2-5 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Frazier homered in the third and fifth innings.
The Alpine Cowboys' lineup had no answer for Jake Swartout. The Alpine Cowboys managed just one hit off of Swartout, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his two innings of work.
Reagan Rutledge was hot from the plate for the Alpine Cowboys. Rutledge went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and ninth innings.
Daniel Karasinski recorded his second win for the Trinidad Triggers even though he allowed six runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered 12 hits.
Kevin Klaess (1-1) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out four.
