Brian Frazier went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Trinidad Triggers (28-24) took home a 5-2 victory over the Santa Fe Fuego (15-38) at Fort Marcy Park on Thursday.
He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.The Trinidad Triggers relied on Christian Schneider to eat up innings en route to the win. Schneider allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
The Santa Fe Fuego were led by Bradley Thomas's hitting. Thomas went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.
The Trinidad Triggers had no answer for Luis Ortega, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Ortega held the Trinidad Triggers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Eric Gleese was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out 12, and allowed five runs.
