Peyton Cordova-Smith went 2-3 as the Everett (4-1) took home a 5-1 victory over the SW Oregon (2-6) at Parker Field on Saturday.
He singled in the first and seventh innings.The SW Oregon had no answer for Jake Nelson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Nelson gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.
Ryan Sandifer recorded his first win of the year for the Everett. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered five hits.
Doug Molzahn (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
