An awesome effort by Jeffrey Passantino led the Falmouth Commodores (11-10) to a 2-0 win over the Cotuit Kettleers (5-16) on Monday at Arnie Allen Diamond.
Passantino kept the Cotuit Kettleers off the board during his seven innings of work. Passantino struck out seven and allowed one walk and two hits.
JJ Matijevic racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Falmouth Commodores. He homered in the fifth inning.
The Falmouth Commodores couldn't get anything going as long as Eddie Muhl was pitching. The Falmouth Commodores managed just two hits off of Muhl, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Rio Gomez (0-1) took the loss for the Cotuit Kettleers. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
