The Falmouth Commodores (5-6) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-2 to the Bourne Braves (7-4) on Wednesday.

An RBI single by Justin Yurchak gave the Bourne Braves the lead in the fifth inning.

Connor McVey racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Bourne Braves. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Ronnie Rossomando got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Rossomando struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.

Jake Bird (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
