Anderson helps the Nevada Big Horns down the South Bay Storm 4-2

Connor Anderson had two extra base hits, helping the Nevada Big Horns (6-9) to a 4-2 victory over the South Bay Storm (9-5) on Saturday at CSU East Bay.

He doubled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

The Nevada Big Horns got the win thanks in large part to Nick Simonian's dominant, five-strikeout performance. Simonian allowed no earned runs, five hits and three walks over five innings.

Latrell Harris was hot from the plate for the South Bay Storm. Harris went 2-3 and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.

The Nevada Big Horns had no answer for Robbie McLeod, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. McLeod held the Nevada Big Horns hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

RJ Hanson (0-1) took the loss for the South Bay Storm. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
