The San Francisco Seagulls take out the South Bay Storm with help from Reina, 9-4

Juan Reina had two extra base hits, sparking the San Francisco Seagulls (22-15) to a 9-4 victory over the South Bay Storm (19-16) on Thursday at Fairmont Field.

He singled in the first inning, tripled in the fourth inning, and homered in the sixth inning.

Benjamin Carrasco picked up the win for the San Francisco Seagulls. Carrasco allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Anthony Lim went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the South Bay Storm. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Ray Fuentes brought the heat against the San Francisco Seagulls during his outing. Fuentes held the San Francisco Seagulls hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Nick Ultsch ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked six and struck out four.

The San Francisco Seagulls were sparked by Reina and Paul Murray, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
