The SS-T T Bolts (17-12) and the Herndon Braves (15-17) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the SS-T T Bolts capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at Herndon High School.
Cole Benjamin picked up the win for the SS-T T Bolts. Benjamin allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Bryan Klendworth was solid at the plate for the Herndon Braves. Klendworth went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first innings and homered in the eighth inning.
Dom Morabito ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
