The Canada A_apos;s (8-3) and the Washington Blue Sox (4-7) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Canada A_apos;s capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-3 win at Palm Springs Turf Field.

Taylor Douglas paced the Canada A_apos;s at the plate. Douglas went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

T.J. Whidby had an impressive outing against the Canada A_apos;s' lineup. Whidby held the Canada A_apos;s hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Ricky Schafer recorded his first win of the year for the Canada A_apos;s. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Brandon Boyle (0-1) took the loss for the Washington Blue Sox. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
