Dominic Giuliani was cold coming off the bench, but Giuliani warmed up quickly as Giuliani stroked a key pinch-hit double in the five to lead the San Francisco Seagulls (8-3) to an 8-7 win over the California Bees (3-7) on Monday at Fairmont Field.

With the San Francisco Seagulls trailing by three in the fifth inning, Giuliani came to the plate and doubled, scoring Austin Muller.

Ismael Orozco had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first innings and tripled in the fifth inning.

Austin Thomas went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the California Bees. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Kyle Johnson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Johnson struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Matt McDonald was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The San Francisco Seagulls were sparked by Tyler Ryan and Orozco, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
