An impressive effort by Noah Gapp lifted the Edmonton Prospects (15-16) to a 7-1 win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (24-7) on Thursday at Telus Field.

Gapp's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Edmonton Prospects past the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Gapp allowed no earned runs on three hits and one walk over nine innings.

The Edmonton Prospects' bats came to life in the eighth inning. In the inning the Edmonton Prospects scored five runs. The Edmonton Prospects scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Kyle McComb, , an RBI single by Nick Spillman, a single by Noah Hill, and a groundout by Tony Olson.

It was a good day at the plate for the Edmonton Prospects' Cory Scammell. Scammell went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Jared Libke was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
