Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Coachella Valley Snowbirds (2-7) and the Palm Desert Coyotes (5-3), as the two teams put up 19 runs combined in a 11-8 the Coachella Valley Snowbirds win.

The two teams combined for 21 hits in the game.

Nick Newell racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Coachella Valley Snowbirds. He doubled in the third innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Chikara Igami recorded his first win for the Coachella Valley Snowbirds even though he allowed six runs over 3 2/3 innings. Igami struck out three, walked six and gave up seven hits.

Josh Daniels (2-1) took the loss for the Palm Desert Coyotes. He allowed eight runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked eight and struck out five.
