Jett Swetland had two extra base hits, sparking the Champion City Kings (12-19) to an 8-6 victory over the Chillicothe Paints (14-16) on Thursday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Andy Fisher's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Champion City Kings past the Chillicothe Paints. Fisher allowed two earned runs on three hits and four walks over seven innings.

David Stover brought the heat against the Champion City Kings during his outing. The Champion City Kings managed just two hits off of Stover, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Michael Houdek ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out four.

The Champion City Kings were sparked by Swetland and Adam Vasil, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
