Mark Finkelnburg hopes every outing could go as well as Thursday, as Finkelnburg threw seven scoreless innings to carry the Terre Haute Rex (18-13) to a 6-1 victory over the Danville Dans (16-15) at Danville Stadium.

Andy De Jesus got a hit in each of his four at bats. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third, fifth, and ninth innings.

The Terre Haute Rex had no answer for Tyler Spring, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Terre Haute Rex managed just one hit off of Spring, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Matt Vaka couldn't get it done on the bump for the Danville Dans, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed one run.
