The Danville Dans (13-9) and the Hannibal Cavemen (7-16) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Danville Dans that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Clemens Field.
Grant Mayeaux had two extra-base hits for the Danville Dans. He doubled in the third and eighth innings.
The Hannibal Cavemen had no answer for Chris Fearon, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Fearon held the Hannibal Cavemen hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Paul Richan recorded his third win of the year for the Danville Dans. He allowed two runs over six innings. Richan struck out six, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Tyus Adkins (1-2) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
