The Butler BlueSox outdone by Jones and the Chillicothe Paints, 6-1

Dylan Jones had two extra base hits, sparking the Chillicothe Paints (6-9) to a 6-1 victory over the Butler BlueSox (10-7) on Sunday at Kelly Automotive Park.

He doubled in the fourth and fifth innings.

The Butler BlueSox had no answer for David Current, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Butler BlueSox managed just two hits off of the the Chillicothe Paints' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Dillon Sunnafrank was solid at the plate for the Butler BlueSox. Sunnafrank went 2-4 and drove in one. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Tanner Allison got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over five innings. Allison struck out two, walked three and gave up five hits.

John Schreiber (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
