Three first-inning runs helped the Butler BlueSox (2-3) to a 4-2 win over the Terre Haute Rex (2-3) at Kelly Automotive Park on Friday.
The Butler BlueSox scored in the first on a sacrifice fly by Jake Kennedy, an RBI single by Dillon Sunnafrank, and an RBI single by Sunnafrank.
Pavin Parks picked up the win for the Butler BlueSox. Parks allowed no earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five over 7 2/3 innings of work.
Braxton Yeryar (0-2) took the loss for the Terre Haute Rex. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
