Alexi Colon clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the River City Rascals (18-12) to a win on Thursday, as the River City Rascals fell to the Normal CornBelters (12-18) 13-8 at The Corn Crib.

Elijah Trail rocked the River City Rascals with two home runs. Trail went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Trail homered in the first and seventh innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 21 total runs and 28 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with eight pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Francisco Carrillo had an impressive outing against the River City Rascals' lineup. Carrillo held the River City Rascals hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Quinn Pippin improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed one run over one inning. Pippin struck out none, walked two and gave up one hit.
