Evan McDonald had two extra base hits, helping the Xenia Scouts (7-6) to a 9-7 victory over the S Ohio Copperheads (5-9) on Sunday at Bob Wren Stadium.

The S Ohio Copperheads had no answer for Walter Rook IV, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Rook IV held the S Ohio Copperheads hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Ted Williams reached base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the third innings and singled in the sixth inning.

The Xenia Scouts were sparked by Cary Holloway and McDonald, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.
