The Pierce (4-5) beat the Yakima Valley (6-6) 6-4 on Saturday at Triton Field behind Gunnar Schubert, who had three RBIs.

Colten Barnes pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out three.

Parker Depasquale racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Yakima Valley. He doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the seventh inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Trey Siegel improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pierce. He allowed three runs over one inning. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Dakota Weindell (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
