Friday was a great day for Chase Vanek, as Vanek struck out nine batters to carry the Clark (8-14) to a 3-2 victory over the Clackamas (5-14) at Kindsfather Field .
The Clackamas jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Clackamas were up until the seventh inning, but the Clark had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Alec Cook.
Drew Martin-Cohn (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
